Train Stations: Whittlesford train station is 10 miles from the cottage (15 mins by car). Cambridge train station is 13 miles (20 mins by car). Trains into London from both stations take ~1 hour. Four seater taxis from the stations to the cottage costs £24 and £26 respectively.
Airports:
Stansted airport approximately 25 miles away (half hour by car),
Luton airport approximately 50 miles away (1 hour by car).
Motorways: The M11 and A11 are within 10 miles and 5 miles respectively

Taxi:
T & T Travel, Tel 01440 714241. Have a 16 seater minibus costing £150 return to Cambridge (no time restriction, within reason).
Call a car, Tel 01440 713777. They have several 6 and 8 seater cabs. Cost for each 8 seater cab is £34 each way before midnight and £51 after midnight i.e. for 2 cabs seating up to16, the cost return would be £136 before midnight and £170 if returning after midnight.
On the buses! Public buses into Cambridge city centre are available approximately every half hour and takes about 40 minutes. The bus-stop is in Horseheath and is half a mile from the cottage. The walk can be on road or a very pleasent walk across fields via public rights of way.
Cars and Car Hire: As the cottage is a bit out of the way you get the best out of your stay with your own transport. If you need to hire a car, we recommend East Anglia Car & Van Rental, a local company that can offer more flexibility than the large national rental companies. Prices start at £100 per week for a small basic car. Cars can be delivered and picked up from the Cottage at no extra cost. Please contact them directly on +44 (0) 1223 839595.
Parking: There is ample off-road parking on the long and private drive of the cottage. Seven cars can be positioned so all cars can drive out without moving cars around and the drive and rear-back garden can accomodate many more cars if necessary.
